She’s about to…POP!

I normally don’t post my own personal parties, but since I had it with a friend…I thought I could get away with it! I want to thank everyone for all the awesome gifts, diapers and blessings for our babies! Amber and I will keep you posted on when they get here…and of course, they’re will be newborn pics! Enjoy the “She’s about to…POP Party, inspired by something I saw on Pinterest! Amber and I made everything ourselves and I made all the labels and signs! It was a labor of love! PS. If you can, get Amber to give you her cupcake recipe – she hasn’t told me yet, but they were AMAZING! Shout out to Amanda for the circle shaped sandwiches and fruit, and since I couldn’t obviously photograph everything, thank you Laurie from Goen South for helping me with the images! We LOVE you Girls! !

1 & 3! What busy fun!

We all love birthday girls (and boys!)!! These girls are tutu-cute for their birthday portraits! It was nice to photograph them at their Grandparents home, sometimes at these ages its easier for wardrobe changes, potty breaks and even naps (yes, there was actually a nap break for the the little one, she needed her beauty sleep!) to make the session easier on the Kiddos and the Mommies! We all plan for our Sweet Lovelies to be in the most perfect “portrait” moods, but it doesn’t usually happen that way! CN has to be flexible and we all have to remember the little people are people too! After nap time we captured some awesome images that show off her real personality! (Good idea on the Mommy’s part to make that call! Future clients – don’t be afraid to reschedule, postpone or put them down for a nap if you can tell its just not a good time for portraits – you’ll be much happier with your images if your child is happy!)

Also, we love referrals and reward you with free sessions and other goodies! We appreciate free advertising from our clients so make sure if you are a referral to let us know at the time of your booking who sent you over! Thanks A family for all the referrals! We hope you love your images as much as we do! HUGS!

Two is better than one!

I love babies…I love newborn sessions and I really love twins! How cute are these two sweet girls? The session started kind of rocky – not due to anyone’s fault…(unless you count the cable guys that happened to be there setting up some new football channels for their Daddy, tee hee) but we managed to soothe the girls back to sleep and capture the most precious moments of them together! I can’t wait to see these two grow up – they already have very different personalities and you could tell even by the way they cry (which wasn’t much by the way). Two sweet girls are definitely better than one!

And since we’re on the subject…CN Photography is taking maternity leave! I’m expecting my second little girl, so this post is apropo! My last session is booked for this Saturday and I will not resume taking sessions until July! I’m so very sorry if I missed the opportunity to photograph you or your lovelies…but I promise we’ll be back late summer or early fall. (Its not too soon to book your session….might as well!) Until then…I might see you in the freezer aisle at HEB next to a carton of Ben and Jerry’s…

Sweet Siblings

Its always fun to do photos with your brother or sister…I love the funny faces and moments during a session with siblings…you just never know what you’re going to get! Maybe I’m partial since I know these two sweet kids, but I think we got some awesome shots from their session (we only had to bribe them once or twice and make farting noises for the Elliott, but all in all it was a great session!). It thought it was so cute that Amelia’s Grandmother bought her American Girl doll a matching dress for her portrait – SO CUTE! She’ll remember that forever! I also got to use some fun photoshop actions I haven’t used in a while -see if you can find the “vintage”, “velvet” and “ruby” actions! If you’re planning on doing a session with CN Photography, make sure you include siblings, pets and your favorite friends! And as always, funny faces are welcome!

Cowgirls just wanna have fun!

Pony rides, smore’s station, glass milk jars, baby goats, Oreo cupcakes (my personal favorite), stick horse races, straw hats and cowgirl cookie favors….WHEW! And that’s not even all the fun things we found at this Cowgirl party! The “Watering Hole” was fully stocked with Mason Jars, iced tea, chocolate milk, strawberry milk and vanilla milk! The “Chuck Wagon” had homemade BBQ of course, courtesy of their Papa! We had a rootin’-tootin’ good time celebrating Bailey’s 3rd Birthday and Palin’s 2nd Birthday Party and we’re glad we moseyed on over to help celebrate their day! Zoe wanted to take a baby goat home…thank goodness I talked her out of it! Tawnya with Tennille’s Design Boutique out did herself again! Thanks for letting us hang out at the Cowgirl Party!

Andy Warhol + Fiesta Wedding

While driving in the yucky, mucky rain the other day, I passed the McNay Art Museum and Andy Warhol’s Fame & Misfortune exhibition is happening RIGHT NOW! So exciting! It reminded me of an amazing wedding I did back in October – the theme was ANDY WARHOL + FIESTA! It was so bright, cheery and TOTALLY ANDY! Since I’m already looking ahead to the Spring time…(we all know how HUGE Fiesta is) I just had to post this today! You will remember Elsa Y Franco from our New York Engagement Session (we took pics at the MoMA and next to some Warhol’s!!! – CLICK HERE

I can’t begin to tell you how much I enjoyed this couple, their creativity, their passion for art, food and each other! From the moment they asked me to be a part of their day – I knew it was going to be more than amazing, but they still managed to blow me away! (I kind of miss talking to Elsa on a weekly basis about her wedding plans!) Franco designed all of their invitations and printables and Elsa planned the colors, locations and wardrobe (I got to wear silver converse too! yeah!) I could go on and on and on…but I’ll let the images talk to ya! Make sure you go by the McNay and check out a Warhol live and in color…its just so much cooler than googling it online! And whatever your theme…CN will capture every last detail! VIVA FIESTA and in the words of Warhol…”You have to be willing to get happy about nothing.” and “Everyone will be famous for 15 minutes.”

Baby Bump Love + Cool Boy

You might remember Amber from “Baby Bumps” (click link) posted back in March 2010…Back then she the bump was Finley, her sweet boy! NOW 2012 she’s expecting baby boy number 2! At Finley’s Valentine’s Session we had to show some Baby Bump Love for her husband’s card! I have to say, as cute as her bump is…Finley stole the show when he put on some shades (because his future is so bright!)! I love when kids just do what they do…we were already done photographing him and he waltzes in like he’s Bieber ready for his close up! GOTTA LOVE THAT! On a personal note, Amber and I both expecting at the same time (3 days apart to be exact)! AWESOME! Valentine’s Day is 2 days away! Hug your bumps, pups, babies, kiddos and hubbies! XOXOXOXOXO

Jack is 1! What fun!

I just love One Year Old kids! They are so fun to photograph! (They usually get a kick out of my “funny sounds”, ie farting noises, so they make me feel like I’m the most hilarious person…its great for the ‘ole ego!) This little guy was a blast! He is so full of energy and was super sweet! Check out his new truck – can you believe his Grandfather MADE that! How special! I got the pleasure of also photographing him with his family the same day! Looking forward to more fun sessions with Jack!

Valentine’s Day has been going on at CN Photography for the past 2 weeks and we LOVE it! Check out the recent LOVE Sessions! All the kids will just melt your hearts! And if they aren’t sweet enough, check out Johanna’s Sweet’s table! Its to DIE FOR! Not only does this Mama have a job (out of the house too), her daughter is always impeccably dressed, her parties are always amazing (see the pirates bootie in the polka-dot cones, how cute is that?) and her house is actually clean! Johanna put this together herself! A.M.A.Z.I.N.G! Anyway, we LOVE LOVE LOVE our clients (ALL my Mama’s are pretty amazing ladies!) and their children!
