Bridal Portraits + Tips

January 19th, 2011

You’ve found the perfect dress and all the accessories so you think your ready for your Bridal Portrait Session…here are a few tips from the girl behind the camera that will hopefully make your session easy, fun and flawless.

+ Bring Helpers – Mom, Bridesmaids, Sisters, Friends…the more the merrier! Its a celebration afterall – plus they can help fluff your dress, fix your ‘Do and carry your lipgloss for touch ups!

+ Don’t forget a portrait bouquet – some Florists will give these complimentary, but don’t forget to ask!

+ Remember that this is not only a dress rehearsal for you, but your stylist and make up artist as well – allow plenty of time to get all your details set before the session.

+ Schedule a spot clean and steam for your dress for after the session. We try really hard to keep it all clean, but the dress will get wrinkled. Knowing ahead of time that this is all part of the big picture will save you from stress later! (I promise!)

+ Have FUN!!! This is like “Big Girl” Dress up – the moment we’ve all dreamed about since we were 5 years old! Enjoy it Girl! The next time you’ll be in that dress, you’ll be marrying your Prince Charming!

Kortni and Mike are the coolest couple – both are so down to earth and totally in love! Here are a few of my favs from the session. Looking forward to March 5th! And PS. Mike – now that I’ve met your super cool fiance Kortni…I forgive you for the school bus harassment…maybe.
